15. Google API Services and Calendar Integration
VenWed offers an optional Google Calendar integration that allows venue owners and vendors to synchronize their booking schedules with their Google Calendar. This section explains how we handle data accessed through Google APIs in connection with this integration and supplements the disclosures in Sections 2 through 6 of this Privacy Policy.
15.1 Data We Access.
When you authorize VenWed to connect with your Google Calendar, we access the following data through Google APIs:- Read access to events on the Google Calendars associated with your Google account, including event start and end times and busy or free status. This access is used solely to display accurate availability on your VenWed listing and to prevent double-bookings.
- Write access to create, update, and delete events on your Google Calendars. This access is used solely to push your VenWed bookings to your calendar so they appear alongside your other commitments and to update or remove those events when bookings change.
15.2 Limited Use of Google User Data.
VenWed’s use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In accordance with this policy:- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Calendar integration described in Section 15.1.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized advertising, or any form of advertising-related profiling.
- We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise transfer Google user data to third parties for any purpose unrelated to providing the Calendar integration to you.
- We do not allow human access to Google user data except: (a) with your explicit consent for specific data; (b) where necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse or addressing a security vulnerability; (c) to comply with applicable law; or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized so that it can no longer identify any specific user.
15.3 Authorization and Revocation.
The Google Calendar integration is optional and may only be enabled by the account holder of the relevant Google account. You may connect your Google Calendar through your VenWed dashboard by following the Google OAuth consent flow, during which Google will display the specific permissions VenWed is requesting. You may revoke VenWed’s access to your Google Calendar at any time by either of the following methods:- Disconnecting the Google Calendar integration from the settings page of your VenWed dashboard; or
- Visiting your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing VenWed from the list of third party applications with access to your account.
Upon revocation, VenWed will cease accessing your Google Calendar and will delete cached event data associated with the integration within a reasonable time period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or tax records.
15.4 Data Storage and Minimization.
We do not store the contents of your Google Calendar events beyond what is necessary to provide the Calendar integration. We may temporarily process event time ranges to determine availability and store identifiers for events that VenWed itself created on your calendar so that we can update or delete those specific events when bookings change. We do not store event titles, descriptions, attendee lists, locations, or other event metadata for events that VenWed did not create.15.5 Subprocessors.
We do not transfer Google user data to third party processors or service providers other than as strictly required to provide the user-facing features of the Calendar integration, such as our cloud hosting infrastructure that runs the VenWed application. Any such subprocessors are bound by contractual obligations to handle Google user data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy.16. Contact Us
